ARISE & SHINE
In the 1st chapter of Joshua the Lord reveals so many wonderful promises that apply to us, His believers, His chosen ones, His bride, today. God tells Joshua that now since Moses is dead, “Arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them”…(verse 2). After 40 years of wandering in the desert, Joshua was to lead the Israelites into the promise land. Today Jesus is our “Joshua” and once we accepted Jesus, He tells us to “arise and walk into the promise land”. In verse 3 the word says, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you”… WOW!! Now that is just awesome isn’t it? In Psalm 40:2 it says that He has set our feet upon a rock and has established our steps!! Isn’t it great news to know that whether the souls of our feet are walking in the peaks, or in the valley, or in the wilderness, that God has given us the land and has established our steps!! Verses 5 and 9 the Lord tells us “I will not leave or forsake you”…”Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Regardless of where we are at in our daily walk with the Lord or walking through, God has given us the land in each step we take and He is right there with us!
Beloved, God is the same as He was yesterday, as He is today and will be tomorrow. His promises to us are forever settled in heaven. Don’t let the enemy steer you away from your promises or your promise land!! The Lord told us: “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Just go forth boldly and claim every step for the glory of God who is in you!!
With all that is going on in the economy today, do not be afraid or dismayed for the Lord is with you!! We are entering into a time of testing where God is going to sort the wheat from the chaff. We must co-labor with God during these times by standing in prayer and fasting, meditating on His word and holding onto the truth of it, and just listening for His voice for our direction. Arise and walk! There isn’t time for us to sit idly by any more…we need to Arise and Walk out the plans and purposes for our lives that God has already ordained and promised! Are your feet burning yet?
Saints, be strong and of good courage! Walk with your head held high knowing that the Lord has established your footsteps! He is your source, your provider, your healer, your deliverer, your victor!! He loves you with an everlasting love and He is with you every single step of the way! So, rejoice as you run the race that is before you!!
Isaiah 60:1-2 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
