Intimidation

Intimidation

Intimidation is subtle but can be a strangling spirit that stops Christians from pursuing the destiny God has ordained for their lives. You may ask how do you know?

Well I had this for many, many years. This spirit can discourage, criticize and convince christians  to stay isolated  and defeated focusing on what is wrong  instead of what God says about us. In the word Eli is a good example of one who did not enforce  Godly morality and conduct with his two sons. Eli was aware what his sons were doing but he failed to speak up and restrain his sons but instead left them in their sacred positions. Another example comes to mind is Saul. He disobeyed God on several occasions. Instead fear came in and he did what he thought was right for the people but did not do all God directed him to.

So if  you struggle with intimidation I have found recognizing this is the first step. It is really learning to shift our focus on pleasing people to pleasing God. It is very important we don’t seek approval  from man or seeking positions. We have unconditional love and acceptance from our Father in heaven. Standing up for His Truth will help christians know we are perfect and complete in Christ regardless of  any negative reactions we may encounter. I know God’s Love is never  failing. We now can learn to trust fully in Him not just as our Savior but to become  our Lord  and our Father in every area in our lives. So it is really back to knowing who Christ is and knowing who we are as His precious sons and daughters. Wow that is exciting and awesome!

It has taken me a lifetime to get here so give yourself time to grow. We each have gifts and abilities God put in each of us. No one is more important than another but we do have a part and together it all works like it should. So remember fear is opposite of faith and we can increase our faith in Christ as we renew our minds, meditate on His word and trust in Him to complete the process until we take our last breath.

So if you are comparing yourself to others please stop! It doesn’t help! Be yourself. Love yourself and know you have a voice that is uniquely yours and beautiful!

Lastly,  know God has this and has your best interest in mind. Before long you will be  amazed of all God does in transforming you into His precious, lovely child to be forever His! In His care!
